Location: Barbican Centre, London, EC2Y 8DS (Hybrid Working) Job Type: Temporary (Initially until 31/12/26), part-time – 7 hours per day, 3 days per week The City of London Corporation are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Strategic People Partner to join their People, Culture and Inclusion team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who is passionate about building strong relationships, influencing senior stakeholders and delivering people solutions that support organisational success. As a Strategic People Partner, you will act as the lead HR partner for allocated business areas, providing expert advice and support across the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with senior leaders and managers, you will help shape workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement and organisational change initiatives. Day-to-day of the role: • Act as the strategic HR lead for allocated business areas, providing professional advice and guidance on people matters. • Partner with senior managers and departmental leaders to support workforce planning, organisational development and talent management. • Provide expert support on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management cases. • Lead and support strategic HR projects aligned to organisational and people strategy objectives. • Promote fair, inclusive and effective recruitment practices, supporting managers throughout the hiring process. • Analyse HR data and trends to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. • Support leaders in driving performance, engagement and organisational change. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Significant experience operating within a strategic HR partnering or business partnering environment. • Proven ability to provide pragmatic HR advice aligned to organisational needs and employment legislation. • Experience supporting complex employee relations casework and organisational change initiatives. • Strong experience managing and overseeing recruitment activities, including senior-level appointments. • Experience working with HR systems, reporting tools and people data to support business decisions.
