Site Based - Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00 (1/2 hour unpaid lunch), Friday 08:30-12:30 (no lunch)
4.5 days per week (36 hours)

We are recruiting a highly organised and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join a well-established manufacturing business.
This is a varied, hands-on position covering purchasing, supply planning, production scheduling, inventory control and ERP master data. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials are available when required, stock levels are effectively managed and accurate planning information is maintained across the business.
This role would suit someone with previous experience in any of the following areas in manufacturing - purchasing, supply chain coordination, materials planning or inventory management. Training will be given if someone has purchasing but no scheduling/planning experience or visa versa.
Key Responsibilities
• Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring materials are ordered within agreed lead times.
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing, lead times and delivery schedules.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding forecasts, orders and potential supply issues.
• Resolve delivery, quality and service issues in conjunction with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain production and replenishment schedules to support customer and operational requirements.
• Balance demand against inventory levels, supplier capacity and production constraints.
• Monitor stock levels and recommend appropriate replenishment actions.
• Identify potential shortages, excess stock and slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Work with warehouse and operations teams to maintain accurate stock records.
• Create and maintain item master records within the ERP system.
• Maintain accurate product codes, descriptions, units of measure, supplier details, lead times and planning parameters.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other operational planning data where required.
• Support the setup of new products and conduct regular data-accuracy checks.
• Prepare and analyse purchasing, inventory and supplier-performance reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing, planning and supply chain processes.
Skills and Experience
• Previous experience in purchasing, supply planning, inventory management or supply chain coordination. (Pls note - experience from within a manufacturing environment and at least one of these areas is essential)
• Experience using an ERP or MRP system.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• A practical and proactive approach to resolving problems.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work accurately to deadlines.
• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
• Knowledge of demand planning, forecasting or inventory-control methodologies would be beneficial.
• A relevant supply chain, procurement, operations or business qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
