Job description

Trailer & Car Transport Specialist Swindon Monday to Friday - 6.00am to 4.00pm with ½ hour unpaid lunch break. Every third Saturday - 8.00am to 12noon. Permanent Salary is dependent on experience We are currently recruiting for a Trailer & Car Transport Specialist to join our client in their Swindon depot. The candidate must have: • Safely transport cars, vans, trailers, and other vehicles to customer locations, workshops, auctions, and designated sites. • Load, secure, and unload vehicles using approved equipment and methods. • Conduct pre-use and post-use inspections of transport vehicles, trailers, and equipment. • Ensure all loads are secured correctly and comply with legal requirements before travel. • Complete vehicle condition reports and obtain customer signatures where required. • Maintain accurate transport records, delivery documentation, and job updates. • Plan routes efficiently to meet collection and delivery schedules. • Communicate professionally with customers regarding collection and delivery arrangements. • Report vehicle damage, defects, incidents, or delays promptly to management. • Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of trailers, transport equipment, and company vehicles. • Adhere to all company health and safety procedures, road traffic regulations, and transport compliance requirements. • Assist with depot operations and vehicle movements as required. • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation of company vehicles and equipment. • Represent the company in a professional manner, delivering excellent customer service at all times. • Support colleagues and other departments to ensure efficient depot operations and customer satisfaction. You need to be pro-active, take pride in what you do, a willingness to learn and be engaged with training and an interest in pursuing a career within our industry.
