Trainee Credit ControllerLocation: Port Talbot Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary:£26,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience) Start Your Career in FinanceWe're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Credit Controller to join our finance team in Port Talbot. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in finance and accounts. Whether you're a recent college or university graduate, changing careers, or have some office experience, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed. The RoleAs a Trainee Credit Controller, you'll work closely with our experienced finance team, learning all aspects of credit control while helping to ensure customer accounts are managed efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: • Contacting customers by phone and email to discuss outstanding invoices. • Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers. • Allocating incoming payments and updating customer accounts. • Assisting with account reconciliations and resolving payment queries. • Maintaining accurate financial records and customer information. • Supporting the wider finance team with administrative tasks. • Learning credit control processes and best practices. About YouWe're looking for someone who is: • Eager to learn and develop a career in finance. • Confident communicating with customers by phone and email. • Organised with excellent attention to detail. • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. • Reliable, professional, and able to work well as part of a team. • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including Maths and English. Previous office or customer service experience is beneficial but not essential.
