The successful candidate will join a team of over 150 Anaesthetic staff including more than 130 consultants and over 50 trainee anaesthetists. The post can provide the applicant experience in anaesthetic subspecialty blocks not available in most hospitals subject to availability. It is envisaged that such experience if appropriately documented and supported with work placed based assessments and regular appraisal would be of benefit to those seeking to join speciality training in Anaesthesia. What you will bring to the role The successful applicant will have regular training lists across a broad spectrum of specialties as mutually agreed at interview and will be expected to contribute to the out of hours service by being part of the on-call team alongside the anaesthetic trainees. All out of hours call rotas at Leeds are a 1 in 8 working pattern and are compliant with European Working Time Directive legislation and the 2016 contract. When not working out of hours, successful applicants will have a mixture of consultant supervised and solo lists (where appropriate).
