For further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification: • Manage a co-ordinated day care nursing (chemotherapy and IV Services) service in liaison with all members of the multi-disciplinary team maximising high quality patient care. • To maintain clinical credibility through practice and to utilise the findings of nursing research and evidence-based care to optimise high quality patient care. • To monitor and review nursing practice regularly, participating in audits which must include documentation in accordance with Trust policy and NMC Guidelines. • Within the framework of Team Nursing, to maintain the continuity of quality nursing care that responds flexibly to patients and carers needs and includes a pathway to the community or relevant care setting. • Monitoring of trends and prevalences of clinical incidents according to the Trusts Clinical Governance Guidance and Directives and develop strategies to prevent them reoccurring.
