Location: London (Hybrid) Salary: £40,000 + benefits About the Role We are working with a respected London-based wholesale insurance brokerage seeking a Wholesale Account Handler / Broker to support a portfolio of key broker partners. In this role, you’ll be responsible for broker-to-broker servicing, placement, and renewals across a wide range of commercial products, including Property Owners, Terrorism, Management Liability, and Engineering. This is a hands-on position within the London wholesale market, ideal for someone who understands the dynamics of placing business via insurers and underwriters, and is looking to further develop within a technically strong team. Key Responsibilities • Support broker partners with wholesale placements, renewals, and technical queries • Manage the end-to-end renewal and placing process, including market engagement and negotiation • Gather and present risk information to underwriters to secure competitive terms • Handle mid-term adjustments and ensure accurate policy documentation • Maintain precise records within Acturis and ensure data accuracy • Build strong working relationships with underwriters, insurers, and broker partners • Stay up to date with market trends, insurer appetite, and product developments • Ensure all work is compliant with FCA regulations and internal standards Skills & Experience Required • Experience as a Wholesale Account Handler, Wholesale Broker, or within a broker-to-broker environment • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products (Property Owners, Liability, etc.) • Experience working within the London market or wholesale insurance sector • Confident liaising with underwriters and insurer panels • Strong communication and negotiation skills • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple placements • Acturis experience preferred • Good understanding of FCA compliance Ideal Background • Wholesale broking or MGA environment • Experience placing business via London market insurers • Broker-to-broker servicing experience (not direct retail only) What’s on Offer • £40,000 salary + benefits • Hybrid working (London-based office) • Ongoing professional development and training support • Exposure to a diverse wholesale portfolio • Opportunity to build a long-term career within the London market • Supportive, collaborative team with strong insurer relationships About the Business This brokerage is well respected within the wholesale insurance market, known for its technical expertise, strong insurer relationships, and high service standards.
