The successful candidate will: • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). • Have a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, including phonics and the transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1. • Deliver engaging, creative and well-structured lessons that foster curiosity and a love of learning. • Demonstrate excellent classroom management with consistently high expectations for behaviour, progress and achievement. • Use effective assessment strategies to identify next steps and support every child's individual learning journey. • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and additional learning needs. • Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues. • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated Key Stage 1 team to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child. • Be committed to providing an inclusive learning environment where every pupil feels valued, confident and able to succeed.
