Assistant Lab Technician (Industrial Environment) Location: Hyde Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Monday to Thursday 06:15am - 18:30pm MUST be happy to work nights if needed Role Overview We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Lab Technician to join a busy industrial site based in Hyde. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term career prospects for reliable and hardworking candidates. The role involves operating and maintaining machinery as part of the production process, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities • Operating and monitoring machinery safely and efficiently • Setting up machinery and ensuring it is running correctly • Making basic machine adjustments where required • Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards • Working to production targets and deadlines • Loading raw materials into machines and handling finished goods • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment • Following all health & safety procedures at all times • Reporting any faults or issues with machinery promptly • Supporting other areas of production when required Requirements • Previous experience in a machine operator or industrial environment is desirable • Experience operating machinery is preferred (full training can be provided) • Good understanding of health & safety practices • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player • Able to carry out manual handling tasks • Willingness to learn and develop new skills Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
