Job description

Harper May is working with a multi-channel retailer with a strong wholesale and direct-to-consumer presence across the UK. The business has experienced consistent growth over the past three years, expanded its logistics capability, and recently secured additional investment to fuel further expansion. The Finance team plays a core role in driving performance visibility across product lines, channels, and geographies. The business is now seeking a Finance Analyst to strengthen its analytical capacity. The Role Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for delivering financial analysis and insight that supports decision-making across the commercial and operational teams. This is a commercially-driven role suited to a finance professional who is qualified or part-qualified and wants to grow within a fast-paced, data-driven retail environment. • Prepare and analyse monthly financial reporting across product categories and distribution channels • Build and maintain spreadsheet models to track sales trends, pricing impact, and profitability by segment • Support the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting process • Monitor working capital movements including cash conversion and receivables • Investigate variance trends and communicate findings to senior management and non-finance colleagues • Contribute to process improvement and financial controls within the team What we are looking for • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or part-qualified • Prior experience in retail, fast-moving consumer goods, or multi-site operations • Proficiency in Excel with the ability to build and manipulate complex data structures • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and ask clarifying questions • Comfortable working with non-financial stakeholders and presenting findings clearly • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
