Head of HR Salary: £70,000–£75,000 depending on experience + benefits Location: Purley, South London (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home) About the Company Are you an experienced Head of HR, HR Director or Senior HR Manager looking for the opportunity to shape and build an HR function within a growing international business? Our client is an established creative services business supporting some of the world’s leading retailers and FMCG brands across multiple international markets. With over 35 years’ experience across brand strategy, packaging design, artwork, localisation and creative production, the business delivers end-to-end solutions from concept through to shelf. With headquarters in South London and operations across Europe and the USA, they are now looking for an experienced Head of HR to lead the people strategy and support the next stage of growth. The Role Reporting directly to the Directors and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of HR will take ownership of the company’s HR strategy, people function and employee experience. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR leader who enjoys working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment and can combine strategic thinking with practical delivery. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to develop the HR function, strengthen culture, improve people processes and ensure the business has the right foundations in place to support continued international growth. Key Responsibilities • Develop and deliver the HR strategy aligned with business objectives and future growth plans. • Act as a trusted HR partner to Directors and the Senior Leadership Team. • Lead workforce planning, organisational design and succession planning. • Build and develop the HR function as the business continues to grow. • Shape company culture, employee engagement and the employee experience. • Own the talent strategy and workforce planning approach. • Partner with hiring managers and recruitment partners to attract the right talent. • Support senior and specialist recruitment requirements. • Improve candidate experience and employer branding. • Provide commercially focused advice across employee relations, performance and people matters. • Manage complex employee relations including grievances, disciplinaries, capability and absence. • Ensure HR policies, procedures and documentation remain legally compliant. • Support HR requirements across UK and international operations. • Oversee payroll, reward, benefits and HR systems. • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes and reporting. • Provide HR insight and recommendations to support business decisions. • Support leadership development, employee engagement and career development initiatives. About You We are looking for an experienced Head of HR / Senior HR professional who is commercially minded, approachable and passionate about building great workplace cultures. You will ideally have: • Senior HR experience within a growing, commercially focused organisation. • Experience operating at a strategic HR level and partnering with senior leadership teams. • Experience building, developing or improving an HR function. • Experience supporting an international business environment. • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations. • Experience with organisational change, talent management and workforce planning. • Experience overseeing payroll, reward and HR operations. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • CIPD qualification (ideally Level 5 or above) desirable, although equivalent senior HR leadership experience will be considered.
