Learning Mentor - SEND SCHOOL Position: Learning Mentor Location: SE11 Start Date: September 2026 Hours: Full-Time (Term Time Only) Salary: £25,000 per annum About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join a supportive educational setting in SE11 from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities • Provide one-to-one and small-group mentoring support to pupils. • Build positive and professional relationships with students, families, and staff. • Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. • Encourage positive engagement with learning and school life. • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes. • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external agencies where required. • Promote safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times. Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will: • Have experience working with children or young people in an educational, mentoring, youth work, or support capacity. • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Be patient, resilient, and able to build trusting relationships. • Have a proactive and flexible approach to supporting learners. • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
