Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced recruitment business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective running of the Operations function while supporting wider business performance. Experience working in the recruitment sector is beneficial. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing and developing the Operations Team, overseeing key areas including HR and compliance, office management, contractor onboarding, financial reporting and supplier management. They will play a proactive role in keeping the business aligned with current legislation and industry standards, ensuring full compliance across all operational processes. This individual will also lead internal and external recruitment activity, coordinate onboarding processes, and drive engagement initiatives such as team building and social events. A strong focus will be placed on improving systems, processes and overall operational efficiency, including ownership of the CRM system and supporting the Sales team with best practices and reporting. The role requires excellent project management skills, with the ability to deliver initiatives on time and within budget, while minimising disruption to the business. Experience managing third-party suppliers, enhancing service delivery and ensuring return on investment is essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, commercially aware and confident working across multiple functions. They will thrive in a collaborative environment and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
