For questions about this job, contact: Emma Craske Pharmacy Technician Team Leader Stephanie Williamson Pharmacy Technician Team Leader Shortlisting Date: 31st July 2026 Interview Date: 20th August 2026 Job Summary The Pharmacy department at Leeds Teaching Hospital is looking for 3 part time friendly, enthusiastic receptionists to join the teams to work on a weekend shift only. 1 role is at LGI Inpatient Pharmacy on a Sunday only (7.5 hours a week), working 9am - 5pm with 30 minutes lunch. 2 roles are at St James' Pharmacy on a Saturday and/or Sunday (8 hours per day = 16 hours per week) working 9am -5.30pm with 30 minutes lunch. The role involves greeting patients, nurses, doctors and other hospital staff at our reception and answering the phone to deal with queries. We use a pharmacy prescription tracking system, so the successful candidate will print off orders and discharge prescriptions and book them into our tracking system. There will be other filing and admin work as part of this role. Why you should join our Team Pharmacy is a forward thinking department that values the contribution of all our staff. This role is working with different teams each week and is a vital role to supporting the Pharmacy service on a weekend. The Inpatient pharmacy team at the LGI is a small, friendly and extremely supportive team. The work is often fast paced and busy and the whole team pulls together to achieve the most efficient service for our patients. The Inpatient pharmacy team at St James' hospital is a bigger team but again, very friendly and supportive. What you will bring to the role Key duties will include: Opening and closing the pharmacy reception Answering the phone and dealing with queries Greeting people at reception and helping our customers with queries face to face Printing orders and discharge prescriptions and book them into the tracking system Monitor PPM and other systems for orders and discharge prescriptions The successful candidate will have a polite, calm, helpful manner, be organised and methodical and have I.T skills.
