Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow a well-established industrial sales operation across Ireland. This role offers the chance to influence commercial strategy, develop high-performing teams, and play a key leadership role within a globally recognised manufacturing business. Operating within a technically driven and customer-focused environment, you will be responsible for delivering profitable growth, strengthening customer relationships, and building a culture of performance and collaboration. As part of the wider leadership team, this position also carries responsibility for supporting the effective governance and compliance of the Irish legal entity, ensuring alignment with local regulations, corporate policies, and health and safety requirements. This hybrid position is based in Kildare, Ireland. The Role: The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy across Ireland while leading and developing a high-performing sales team. Working closely with regional and international stakeholders, you will drive commercial performance, strengthen customer partnerships, and ensure the business continues to achieve sustainable growth. In addition, you will support the effective governance of the Irish operation, helping to maintain compliance, risk management, and corporate responsibilities in line with local requirements. Selection of Responsibilities: • Develop and execute a clear regional sales strategy to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and improve profitability. • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performance culture. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners. • Monitor sales performance, forecasting, and pipeline activity, adjusting plans to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks. • Manage regional budgets effectively, including commercial activities, customer trials, and demonstrations. • Deliver a strong customer experience by promoting a consultative and value-based approach to selling. • Work collaboratively with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to deliver integrated customer solutions. • Support the effective governance of the Irish business operation, ensuring compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements. • Promote strong health, safety, and compliance standards across the organisation. • Act as a key member of the local leadership team, supporting business decisions and organisational priorities. • Work closely with regional and global stakeholders to ensure alignment with corporate policies, governance standards, and business objectives. • Represent the organisation professionally with external stakeholders, industry bodies, and relevant authorities where appropriate. Experience Required • Degree qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. • 5–7 years of successful industrial sales experience, ideally within metal cutting, machining, manufacturing technology, or industrial services. • Strong technical understanding of machining processes and tooling applications. • 3–5 years of leadership experience, including managing, coaching, and developing sales professionals. • Proven experience in consultative or value-based selling approaches. • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales performance management. • Strong analytical and commercial skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and manage KPIs. • Experience within the machine tool, tooling, or manufacturing services sector would be advantageous. • Full fluency in English, both written and verbal. • Additional European language skills would be beneficial. • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the region.
