Overview Artex Risk Solutions, a leading provider of actuarial expertise in the international (re)insurance and alternative risk transfer markets, is seeking an Senior Actuary to join our team in Ireland. This role offers the opportunity to work with a global network of trusted industry experts, delivering robust actuarial analysis and strategic advice to strengthen decision-making and optimise risk management for our clients. How you'll make an impact As a Senior Actuary, you will: • Act as the appointed Head of Actuarial Function for selected clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. • Provide independent actuarial opinions on technical provisions, ORSA, underwriting policies, and reinsurance arrangements. • Liaise with regulators and other stakeholders on behalf of clients, ensuring effective communication and compliance. • Oversee the delivery of actuarial reports, ensuring they meet professional and regulatory standards. • Lead and deliver actuarial reserving projects for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards. • Develop and maintain robust reserving models and methodologies. • Support clients in the development and maintenance of capital models, including Solvency II compliance. • Perform stress and scenario testing to assess capital adequacy and risk exposure. • Provide strategic advice on capital optimisation and risk management strategies. • Develop and implement pricing models tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with market trends and regulatory requirements. About you To be successful in this role, you will need: • Qualification as an Actuary (e.g., SAI, FIA). • Proven experience in actuarial reserving, pricing, and capital modelling within the insurance or reinsurance industry. • Previous experience as a Head of Actuarial Function or similar role is highly desirable. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data. • In-depth understanding of Solvency II regulations and other relevant regulatory frameworks. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. #LI-SP4 Compensation and benefits At Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself.
